The 2022 “Wuhan Craftsman Cup” Vocational Skills Competition – Wuhan Metro Industry Vocational Skills Competition and the launching ceremony of the third maintenance job skills competition of the operating company were held at the Sanjintan Depot of Wuhan Metro.

It is understood that the “Wuhan Craftsman Cup” vocational skills competition is a vocational skills competition with “world competition as the lead, municipal competition as the main body, and enterprise training as the basis,” attracting skilled elites from all walks of life in Wuhan to participate. As a sub-field of a municipal state-owned enterprise, more than 7,000 employees of Wuhan Metro participated. There are 17 competition items in the competition. Among them, urban rail transit attendants, power supply equipment maintenance workers, and rail transit signal workers are the second-class competition items at the municipal level. The first place will be awarded the title of municipal technical expert.
On the scene of the competition, all the contestants were full of energy and showed their most skilled business skills and most agile skills. On the actual site of steel rail cutting and drilling, contestants from the rail transit line major held drilling machines and rail saws and drilled 3 screw holes with a diameter of 31 mm on the side of the running rail according to the specified distance, and the error did not exceed 1 mm. Quickly sawing off the rail, all movements must be stable, accurate, and fast.
Contestant Zhang Yuanyuan said that the precise drilling and sawing of the 15kg machine by hand can only be done in front and back movements and cannot swing slightly on both sides. This requires not only stable movements but also very strong arms, which will test the basic skills of the contestants. At the switch machine disassembly and assembly site, the signal-professional contestants must complete the disassembly, maintenance, assembly, and debugging of the 40-kilogram motor and related accessories in the switch machine within the specified time limit. The whole process is completed in one go.
Contestant Ye Chen said that the components in the switch machine are closely connected and interlocked, and the installation accuracy error must be less than 0.1 mm, which requires the contestants to have a good understanding of the internal structure of the switch machine.
