On the evening of November 23, the comprehensive maintenance workshop of Qujing Public Works Section of Kunming Bureau Group Corporation began preparations for the rail replacement construction in full swing. The task of the day was to replace the 480-meter P60 seamless rail line from Sanjiazhai to Yuge.

The section from Sanjiazhai to Yuge used to use P50 steel rails each 25 meters long. There are many joints, ballasts, and poor geometric dimensions. These problems not only affect the comfort of passengers but also cause hidden dangers to the safety and quality of the line. This replacement to a seamless line aims to solve these existing problems.

The construction of the Shuihong Line track change will run from November 11th to 23rd. The construction workers completed the 3.5-kilometer track change and the recycling of old rails and old materials in 9 nights. The construction of the day is the last step of this track change.

At about 1 am on the 24th, the construction workers successfully completed the 480-meter rail replacement task, which marked the successful completion of the current round of rail replacement construction on the water-red line. A total of 3.5 kilometers of line ballasting, 3.5 kilometers of rail unloading, 3.5 kilometers of seamless line rail replacement, 8 offline cementing, 10 online aluminothermic weldings, and 3.5 kilometers of gauge fine adjustments have been completed.
