Common rail specifications

Railways and industrial lifting systems depend on rails as their foundational load-bearing components, and rail specification stands as the cornerstone of ensuring structural safety, operational efficiency, and long-term durability across these critical infrastructures. From light-duty urban transit lines to heavy-haul freight railways and high-capacity crane runways, the precise dimensions, material properties, and load-bearing capacities defined by rail specifications directly determine performance and reliability.
- Light rails
The lengths of light rails are generally 6 m, 8 m, and 10 m.
Rail materials: Q235, 55Q; models: GB8kg, 9kg, 12kg, 15kg, 18kg, 22kg, 24kg, 30kg, YB8kg, 18kg, 24kg;
Specifications: 30 kg/m, 24 kg/m, 22 kg/m, 18 kg/m, 15 kg/m, 12 kg/m, 8 kg/m.
- Heavy rails
The lengths of heavy rails are generally 12.5 m, 25 m, and 12 m.

- General railway rail specifications
Specifications of railway rails: 75 kg/m, 60 kg/m, 50 kg/m, 43 kg/m.
Expanding knowledge of railway rails:
Heavy-duty rail knowledge: rails with a nominal weight greater than 30kg per meter. Both train rails and crane rails are heavy rails. Train rails: used for laying railways, to withstand the pressure, impact load, and friction during train operation and require sufficient strength and certain toughness.
Strict quality requirements, in addition to guaranteeing its chemical composition, also require inspection of mechanical properties, drop weight test and acid leaching low magnification structure. Production plants include Wuhan Iron and Steel, Anshan Iron and Steel, Baotou Iron and Steel and Panzhihua Iron and Steel.
