What is Rail clamps for cranes

rail clips for cranes
Rail clips for cranes refer to a component specially used for crane rail fixing. Different from the railway track fixing method of the railway system, the crane rail track mostly adopts compression rail clips, while the train line mostly adopts elastic strips to fix the track. The working principle of the rail clamps for cranes is to tighten the nut so that the upper-pressure plate is fastened to the bottom of the rail to play a fixed role. There are two types of fixing points for bolts. Welded rail clamps fix the bolts on the welded base. The bolt-type rail press is to fix the bolts on the steel backing plate or H-beam.
The bolted rail clamps for cranes have two parts. It includes the pressure plate and the bolt. Its installation and use are simple and convenient. But the relative bearing capacity is small, mainly used for light crane rail tracks.

Welded rail clamps for cranes include the upper plate, base plate, and bolts. During the installation of the track, the base of the rail presser needs to be welded to the steel soleplate or the steel beam first. The upper-pressure plate is then fastened to the track by means of bolts. Welded rail presses have larger lateral forces and are mostly used for heavy-duty rail presses.

rubber rail pad
According to the actual crane load, the rail clips for cranes can choose a single hole or double hole.
At present, most of the rail presses used by cranes are flexible rail presses with rubber tongues, which can effectively reduce the vibration and noise generated during rail operation. However, for the special use of coking plants and smelters, a hard-connected rail depressor without rubber depressors must be used.
