Ordinary stacker crane rail layout mode

(1) General straight rail stacker
Generally, straight-track stackers only operate in fixed lanes, that is, each lane must be equipped with a stacker. Through this configuration, in-out operations are carried out at both ends of the storage area, and the system has the largest in-out operation capacity, but the investment is high. It is suitable for the three-dimensional warehouse system with frequent in and out.
(2) U-rail stacker

The U-shaped arrangement allows a stacker to run freely in two lanes without track switching, and the stacker can run directly from one lane (A1) to another lane (A2). Compared with the general straight-track stacker, on the premise that the system can meet the requirements of the storage and storage capacity, only one stacker is needed for two aisles, which saves a certain amount of capital investment.
However, if the stacker fails, two stackers are needed. The roadway can not carry out the storage operation. With this arrangement, the stacker can only carry out in-out operations at one end of the vertical warehouse.
The stacker crane track layout mode of the swivel stacker:
A1 lane and A2, A3, and A4 lanes respectively form three U-shaped rail modes. One stacker can operate in any lane as needed. Each stacker in the layout can be prepared for each other. In the event of failure, other stackers can replace the job. The system can configure the number of stackers less than the number of lanes according to actual needs. For example, 1, 2 and 3 stacker cranes can be configured for the four roadways respectively, and the optimal configuration can be achieved on the premise of meeting the system operation capacity requirements, and the system construction cost can be reduced.
It can be seen from the above layout mode that the biggest advantage of the application of the rail-transfer stacker system is that a small number of stackers are arranged in multiple lanes, and other stackers can replace the operation when one stacker fails so as not to affect the material in this lane. In and out of the warehouse, it not only meets the automatic handling function of the three-dimensional automatic warehouse but also greatly reduces the cost.
But at the same time, some defects can also be seen from the layout mode. For example, the warehouse can only be loaded and unloaded at one end of the vertical warehouse, and the vertical warehouse will take up more space due to the installation of a rail change device. Therefore, the rail transfer stacker system can only be used in some special automated three-dimensional warehouses.
