How Many Steps Does It Take to Replace the Rail?
Q: Why does the rail needs to replace?
A: Because the train runs on the rails, the wear and tear on the rails is high, and the rails are prone to fatigue damage, which affects the service life of the rails. If they are not replaced in time, it will affect the driving safety.
Replacement of damaged rails of seamless railways involves first cutting them out and then inserting short rails for welding. After the operation started, the staff used the rail car to transport and cooperate with the operation, and quickly screwed the screw, removed the elastic strip, unfastened the buckle, turned over the old rail, and dialed the new rail.
After the damaged rail was replaced, the staff checked the length of the new rail to be replaced again, and then moved it onto the track to wait for welding.
The staff in charge of the welding joint installed the mold of the welded rail on the reserved joint, filled it tightly with aluminothermic welding sand, and after continuous burning for 4minutes and 30seconds, the high-temperature molten iron was slowly filled to the weld of the joint, and the rail temperature instantly reached over 3000degrees Celsius. After the welding joint is completed, the staff immediately start the process of demoulding, pushing flow, grinding and other process.
After the entire rail welding operation was completed, the staff quickly went back to inspect the line and adjusted the geometric of the rail to ensure that the line was intact.
The operation time for a track change is about 180minutes. Every link is a race against time, and at the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the process is absolutely correct.
