Development and types of stackers

Stackers are generally used in modern intelligent three-dimensional warehouses because the biggest difference between intelligent three-dimensional warehouses and traditional warehouses is space utilization. Appears to solve this access problem.

The stacker, also known as the stacker crane, is the most important lifting and transporting equipment in the three-dimensional warehouse, and can be said to be the iconic representative of the three-dimensional warehouse.

The main function of the stacker is to run on the channel inside the three-dimensional warehouse, store the goods at the intersection of the lane (hang) into the grid of the designated shelf, or take out the goods in the specified grid of the shelf and send it to the designated conveyor belt or destination. . Generally speaking, it is to deliver the goods to the designated location, and take out the designated goods and put them in the designated place.

The development process of the stacker

First of all, the earliest stacker is called a bridge stacker. It hangs a column on the trolley of the bridge crane, and the fork on the rotating column moves up and down so that the goods can be transported.

Then came the roadway stacker. The principle of this stacker is to use the guide rails on the ground to run, which can largely prevent the dumping of goods.

Then, due to the development of computer technology and three-dimensional warehouses, the use of stackers is more extensive, and their performance and functions are getting better and better, and they can adapt to higher shelves. Until now, stackers are not affected by warehouse construction. Under the restriction of picking, its height can reach more than 40 meters.

Classification of stackers

Stacker with rails

stackers

Obviously, it is to run along the set guide rail and deliver the goods to the designated place accurately according to the fixed procedure

Railless Stacker

Also known as overhead forklift, as one of the most commonly used mechanical equipment in three-dimensional warehouses

Bottom stacker

The maximum lifting height is 5 meters. It is mainly used for split high-rise shelves, that is, simple three-dimensional shelves.

Intermediate stacker

The maximum lifting height is 15 meters, mostly between 5-15 meters, used in integrated high-rise warehouses

High-rise stacker

The lifting height is generally more than 15 meters, and it is used in the integrated high-rise warehouse

Top Drive Stacker

Lower drive stacker

Lower collective stacker

Manual stacker

With a driver’s cab, manual operation is required

Semi-automatic stacker

Also has a driver’s cab, but saves some manual operations

Automatic stacker

No need for manual labor, using automatic control device equipment to control operation, can automatically load and unload goods, and automatically find the designated address

Bridge stacker

It is to rely on the rotation of the column and its own up and down movement to transport the goods

Roadway stacker

All-metal structure, supported by upper and lower supports, traveling along the warehouse roadway, capable of loading and unloading items
