What is cane rail?
Crane running rails include crane rails, railway rails, and square steel. The top of the rail is convex, and the bottom is a flat plate with a certain width, which increases the contact surface with the foundation; the cross-section of the rail is mostly I-shaped, which has good bending strength. Square steel can be regarded as a flat-top rail. Due to the large wear on the wheels, it is generally only used for cranes with small lifting capacity, slow running speed, and infrequent work. Rails are usually rolled from steel with high carbon and manganese content. A typical material for crane rails is U71Mn steel. Square steel is mainly made of Q275 square steel or flat steel.
Crane rail is a special section rail used for crane carts and trolleys. The standard lengths are 9, 915, 10, 1015, 11, 1115, 12, 1215, and other 8 kinds. Common specifications are QU70, QU80, QU100, QU120, and the number after QU indicates the width of the track head. Railway rails are divided into two types: heavy rails and light rails. The specifications of the rails are expressed by the nominal weight per meter of length. Rails with a weight greater than 30kg/m are classified as heavy rails. Standard rail lengths are 12150m and 25100m2 specifications. The amount of light rail is not more than 30kg/m of rail, usually 5 to 12m in length. Light rail steels are mostly killed and semi-killed steels of ordinary carbon structural steels. In order to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of rails, low-alloy structural steels with alloying elements such as Mn, Si, and P have been used in recent years.
Crane rail installation standard
Crane rail installation standard is a system, from the selection of rails to the selection and installation of rail clips. These all need to be decided according to the specific conditions of the engineering equipment.
At the same time, different countries and regions have different crane rail installation standards. However, these crane rail installation standards are mainly based on the installation method of the crane rail.
There are two kinds of rail beams commonly used for installing rails: one is a steel structure beam, and the other is a concrete prefabricated beam. Prefabricated concrete beams must have pre-embedded holes for bolts during installation, or pre-embedded bolts in prefabricated concrete beams. The installation methods of crane rails include pressure plate fixation, hook screw fixation, welding and bolt combination fixation, etc. In order to adjust the horizontal direction, the holes on the rail pressure plate are usually made as long holes, and the vertical adjustment can be made by adding pads under the rail. When designing the rail pressure plate, it should have sufficient rigidity. Each pressure plate can be made into a single hole or double hole according to the size of the force. Only when the rail and the rail beam or the steel backing plate fixed on the rail beam are connected by welding, the rail can be welded on the rail.
