The India-made STS container cranes under the client’s maintenance have seen severe degradation of trolley short rails after long-term heavy-duty operation:
- Severe wear on rail running surfaces has caused complete loss of the original geometric symmetry
- Reduced rail accuracy leads to trolley vibration and positioning deviation, accelerating equipment wear and creating operational safety risks
- A full replacement of the trolley short rail system is required, paired with compatible fastening, buffering and limit components, to restore the running accuracy and stability of the STS cranes
