A45 Shipboard Deck Crane Rail Replacement in Pakistan
Project Overview
Client Profile

shipboard deck crane rail
Application Scenario & Core Requirements
Application Scenario
Core Demands
- Withstand the high-vibration, high-salt-spray marine environment to ensure long-term stability and durability of the rail system.
- Provide a fully matched set of rails, fixings and damping components for one-stop procurement, to reduce multi-supplier coordination costs.
- Meet the project timeline with on-time port delivery to support the on-site installation schedule.
Customized Solution
Product Configuration
- Main rail: 312 meters of A45 crane rail, dimensioned and specified to match the wheel load and load capacity of the deck crane.
- Fixing system: Matched weld-on rail clamps, suitable for welding installation on the deck. The design delivers high vibration resistance and anti-loosening performance, securing stable rail alignment during vessel navigation and crane operation.
- Damping system: Special crane rail rubber pads to absorb impact from crane travel and hull vibration, reducing rail wear and operational noise.
Marine-Grade Corrosion Protection
- Surface preparation: Sandblasting to Sa 2.5 grade, thoroughly removing oxide scale and surface contaminants to create an optimal adhesion base for coatings.
- Multi-layer coating: A 3-layer paint system is applied to form a comprehensive corrosion barrier, significantly extending service life in marine atmospheric conditions and reducing maintenance requirements for shipboard use.

Project Value & Highlights
Superior Condition Adaptability
The combination of weld-on rail clamps and damping rubber pads directly addresses the key pain points of high vibration and loose fasteners common in shipboard applications, ensuring smooth crane travel and operational safety.
Long-Term Corrosion Resistance
The Sa 2.5 sandblasting + 3-layer paint marine-grade anti-corrosion scheme greatly extends rail service life in high salt-spray environments, lowering the client’s long-term maintenance costs and downtime risks.
One-Stop Supply Solution
By delivering the full rail system including rails, fixings and damping components from a single source, we eliminate the client’s need to coordinate multiple suppliers, ensure product compatibility, and improve on-site installation efficiency.
