A100 Rail Replacement Project for Singapore Shipyard

Project Overview

  • Project Name: A100 Rail Replacement for Singapore Shipyard
  • Location: Singapore
  • Service Scope: Custom product supply & on-site installation

Client Introduction

The client is a local enterprise in Singapore, focusing on supporting services for the ship repair and shipbuilding industries. We were commissioned to deliver solutions, including customized rail production, for this rail renewal project.

Project Background

The original A100 rails had been in service for 10 years. After long-term heavy-load operation, the rails suffered from aging and performance degradation, which could no longer meet the shipyard’s operational safety standards.
The original installation adopted a traditional structure with single steel base plates and bolt-type pressure plates. Based on on-site working conditions and existing infrastructure, the client decided to carry out a full replacement of the entire rail line.

Product Specification, Processing & Delivery

  • Configuration: A100 rails with matched rubber pads, total length: 780 meters
  • Unit Size: Each rail is 12 meters in tip-to-tip length
  • Processing: Both ends of each rail are cut at 45 degrees for precise connection
  • Delivery Schedule: All customized products were shipped to the site in January 2025 as scheduled.

Key Technical Advantages

  1. 45° bevel cut at rail ends reduces joint gaps and impact force during operation, perfectly adapting to the heavy-duty working environment of shipyards.
  2. Supporting rubber pads realize vibration reduction, noise reduction, and load dispersion, greatly extending the service life of the rail system.
  3. The original installation structure (single steel base plate + bolt-type pressure plate) is retained, which matches the existing foundation, simplifies installation, and facilitates daily maintenance.

Project Conclusion

This is a typical renovation project for aging industrial rails in overseas shipyards. We provided tailor-made products, on-time delivery, and professional installation according to the client’s actual site conditions. The new rail system completely solves the aging problem of the old equipment and ensures stable operation.
The project was successfully completed on schedule and gained positive recognition from the client. It also accumulated valuable practical experience for similar rail replacement projects for shipyards in Southeast Asia.
